Dr R.Sureshkumar ,is a senior consultant in the Department of Neurology,Renai Medicity Hospital,Kochi,Kerala.He graduated from Government Medical College,Trichur.Subsequently completed MD (General Medicine) from Kasturba Medical College ,Mangalore and DM (Neurology) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
He was the former Professor,Dept of Neurology,Amrita School of Medicine (AIMS),Kochi. He has post graduate teaching experience in Neurology for 16 years.
His areas of interest are Multiple Sclerosis and related demyelinating illness,Movement Disorder,Cognitive Neurology,Sleep Medicine, and Headache.
He is a principal investigator in multiple phase III trials.He has multiple publications in both national and international journals.He has delivered more than 200 invited talks.He initiated one of the first dedicated multiple sclerosis clinics in the country which attended to around 400 pwMS.
He also has won multiple best paper awards in the state and national conferences.He was also awarded the best research paper award by the state IMA/IMS in the year 2013 .
